I thought that the TV show discussions were way better when they were on their own websites with moderated content. Social media came about and the media focused more on that instead of the core audiences. But the quality of discussion had dropped because of the style or culture of the particular social media network.
The issues with Twitter aren’t new and had been going on well before Elon took over, with other shows like Rage having ditched Twitter a while ago, because of the toxic effect Twitter was having.
I think it’s important for viewers to give feedback and interact with their favourite shows. It benefits both the viewers and shows. I think they could think about hosting moderated forums and discussions on the network’s or show’s own websites. It worked well in the past.
