Liberal MP attempting a compromise for the Voice

Liberal MP Julian Leeser is attempting to get crossbenchers and Indigenous leaders to support a compromise on the Voice to Parliament.

Mr Leeser believes the Voice’s authority to advise executive government and parliament should be put in legislation ahead of the constitution.

Mr Leeser said a loss for the Voice could send reconciliation back for at least a generation.
